Lydia Davis

Cited as being “the master of a literary form largely of her own invention”, Lydia Davis was awarded the International Man Booker Prize in 2013 in recognition of her achievements in fiction. She is the author of five collections of short stories. A novelist, essayist, and translator - including acclaimed translations of Proust's Swann’s Way and Flaubert's Madame Bovary - she is also a professor of creative writing at the University at Albany.
